BSC adjustable nipple driver – 3.2 mm square drive SHORT - DS-1S
Adjustable nipple drivers improve the wheel building process, by allowing wheels to be laced with greater speed and accuracy. The DS-1S adjustable nipple drivers install 3.2mm square drive (e.g. internal square drive and double square drive) nipples to a uniform depth of thread. This tool is extremely useful when working with internal nipples where it is impossible to visually check that the spoke threads are set at an even depth of thread. With a pre-set depth you can consistently bring your wheels to a low working tension before starting the process of truing. This nipple driver has an internal pin which allows for 7mm of adjustment.
We stock two versions of this tool: the DS-1S (short/50mm) for shallow and mid-profile rims and the DS-1 (long/90mm) which is perfect for deep section carbon rims. The drivers can be easily attached to an electric drill, with either a standard chuck or a ¼” (6.35 mm) hex bit holder. It can also be used manually with either a ¼” hex bit holder or bit holding screwdriver.
