Pillar 14G PSR TB 2018 (2.0/1.8/2.0 mm) - J bend - 283-300 mm - Black
Pillar’s PSR spokes are made with high quality T302+ stainless steel and are a good choice for all performance application (including mountain, road and gravel) where high strength and low weight is desired. A feature of the PSR TB 2018 spoke is that they use a unique forging process to increase the diameter of the spoke elbow to 2.2 mm. This increase in cross-sectional area improves strength at the elbow and allows for a tighter fit at the hub flange.
Technically speaking the PSR TB 2018s are a triple butted spoke, however as the 2.2 mm increase in cross section is only at the spoke head and elbow, we like to call these a double butted. The butting of the central part of the spoke to 1.8 mm reduces weight and increases elasticity within the spoke, for the benefit of improved fatigue life.
