Wurth 5.3 mm Drill Bit

A$11.00

This 5.3 mm drill bit can be used for re-drilling rim holes to suite the dimensions of many oversized nipples. As a general rule, rim holes need to be a minimum of 0.3 to 0.6 mm wider than the body diameter of the nipple to allow nipples to articulate in a direct path to the hub flange. Wheel builds in which the spokes travel at very wide bracing angles, will often benefit from rim holes that are towards the wider end of this range.
